J.P. Crawford Placed on the DL

Hi everybody,

Phillies shortstop J.P. Crawford was placed on the 10-day DL (Disabled List) yesterday (April 29th) with a strained right forearm.  Phils minor league infielder Jesmuel Valentin has been called up to take Crawford's place on the 25-man roster.

Just wanted to wish the Phillie Phanatic a Happy 40th Birthday and I hope you enjoy your big day today down at the ballpark.  It is a little weird how the date of your birthday changes every year yet is always falls on a Sunday.  Since I started covering your birthday on my blog, the dates of your big day have been:

2013 = April 21st
2014 = May 18th
2015 = April 26th
2016 = April 17th
2017 = April 23rd
2018 = April 29th

Oh well, I guess it's just a strange mystery.  Happy Birthday Phanatic and thanks again for making me laugh during every Phillies home game!!!
