Phillies Roster Moves

Hi everybody,

The Philles have made several roster moves earlier today.  The following players club options were declined:



-- Jared Hughes (Right Handed Relief Pitcher)
-- Pat Neshek (Right Handed Relief Pitcher)
-- Jason Vargas (Left Handed Starting Pitcher)

The following players were removed from the 40-man roster:

-- Jerad Eickhoff (Right Handed Starting Pitcher)
-- Phil Gosselin (Infielder)
-- Mike Morin (Right Handed Relief Pitcher)
-- Blake Parker Right Handed Relief Pitcher)
-- Edubray Ramos Right Handed Relief Pitcher)

All eight players are now free agents and can sign with any team.

Edubray Ramos Placed on the DL

Hi everybody,

Phillies relief pitcher Edubray Ramos was placed on the 10-day DL (Disabled List) on July 16th with a right shoulder impingement. Ramos has been replaced on the 25 man roster by Triple A pitcher Austin Davis.

Tommy Hunter Placed on the DL

Hi everybody,

Phillies relief pitcher Tommy Hunter was placed on the 10-day DL (Disabled List) on July 14th with a right forearm strain.  Hunter has been replaced on the 25 man roster by Triple A pitcher Edubray Ramos.

Edubray Ramos Placed on the DL

Hi everybody,

Phillies relief pitcher Edubray Ramos was placed on the 10-day DL (Disabled List) on Monday (May 13th) with a right biceps tendinitis. It is not known how long Ramos will be out. Ramos has been replaced in the bullpen by Triple A pitcher Austin Davis.
