Since my hero Chase Utley is no longer a Phillie....I decided to add a new feature to the blog.  I will now cover the batting stats for Chase on the Los Angeles Dodgers. Here are his stats as of April 30th:

Charlie Morton Done For the Season

Hi everybody,

Phillies starting pitcher Charlie Morton is having surgery on his torn left hamstring this coming Monday and is done for the season.  Morton suffered the injury during last Saturday's (April 23rd) game against the Brewers.  Adam Morgan is expected to replace Morton in the rotation starting tomorrow.  Morton pitched well in his four starts and I wish him a speedy recovery.

Charlie Morton Placed on the DL

Hi everybody,

Phillies starting pitcher Charlie Morton was placed on the 15-day DL (Disabled List) with a left hamstring strain earlier today. Morton received the injury during last night's game (April 23rd) against the Milwaukee Brewers in the top of the 2nd inning while running to first base on a bunt attempt.  Adam Morgan is expected to be called up from Triple A to take Morton's place in the starting rotation.
