Jerad Eickhoff Placed on the DL and is Probably Done For the Season

Hi everybody,

Phillies starting pitcher Jerad Eickhoff was placed on the 10-day DL (Disabled List) with nerve irritation in his right hand yesterday (August 31st).  The injury occurred during Eickhoff's last start against the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday (August 30th) where he only pitched two innings in the first game of the doubleheader.

It is unknown if the injury is serious but it is thought that Eickhoff is probably done for the season.  A replacement in the starting rotation has not yet been named but relief pitcher Ricardo Pinto has been brought up from Triple A to take Eickhoff's place on the 25-man roster.

Talk to you soon,
Little Chase
