Chase Utley Photo of the Week (8-10-16)

Hi everybody,

This week's photo is from the 2011 NL East Championship celebration.  Chase and Hunter are having some fun while Ryan Howard is doing an interview in the background.  I sure do miss Chase and Hunter being Phillies.

Happy Birthday Ann Onymous

Hi everybody,

I just wanted to wish my good friend and occasional blog poster Ann Onymous a Happy Birthday!  Although she repeatedly tricks me so she can put up (as she calls them) "hot" pictures of my hero Chase Utley.....she's a great person and one of my best friends.  Happy Birthday, Ann Onymous!!!

Zach Eflin Placed on the DL

Hi everybody,

Phillies starting pitcher Zach Eflin was placed on the 15-day DL (Disabled List) with patellar tendinopathy in both of his knees.  It is unknown if Eflin will pitch again this season.

Eflin's spot in the rotation is expected to be filled by either Triple A pitchers Adam Morgan or David Buchanan.  That decision does not have to be made until this weekend.  In the meantime....relief pitcher Elvis Araujo has been called up to pitch in the bullpen.

Phils to Face Chase Utley For the First Time Since Trade to the Dodgers

Hi everybody,

The Phillies are in Los Angeles for a series against the Dodgers starting tonight.  It is also the first time that they will face my hero Chase Utley since the trade last August.  It is going to be sad to see Chase batting against the Phils.  I really hope Chase does well in the series (and the rest of his career) but I want the Phils to win.  I miss seeing Chase as a Phillie.
