Hi everybody,Phillies starting pitcher Zach Eflin was placed on the 15-day DL (Disabled List) with patellar tendinopathy in both of his knees. It is unknown if Eflin will pitch again this season.
Eflin's spot in the rotation is expected to be filled by either Triple A pitchers Adam Morgan or David Buchanan. That decision does not have to be made until this weekend. In the meantime....relief pitcher Elvis Araujo has been called up to pitch in the bullpen.
