Phillies starting pitcher Aaron Nola was placed on the 15-day DL (Disabled List) with a strained right elbow. Although the injury is not thought to be serious...Nola's season may be over.
Nola was supposed to pitch in last night's (August 3rd) against the San Francisco Giants but was replaced by Triple A pitcher Phil Klein for a spot start. It is expected that the Phils top minor league pitching prospect Jake Thompson (who is currently in Triple A) will soon be called up to pitch in the starting rotation.
Talk to you soon,
