Victorino and Pence Updates

Hi everybody,

I just thought I would share some pictures of Shane Victorino and Hunter Pence in their new uniforms...

Isn't that depressing?  I still like to think of both of them as Phils in better days....

Carlos Ruiz Likely Out For Season

Hi everybody,

Carlos Ruiz has been put on the disabled list and will miss four to six weeks with a foot injury. Chooch will likely miss the rest of the season. Ruiz was having a career season and is easily the MVP of the Phils.

I keep thinking that this horrible season can't get any worse but then it does. Get well Chooch because the Phils are going to need you in 2013!!!

Joe Blanton

Hi everybody,

Yesterday the Phils traded pitcher Joe Blanton to the Los Angeles Dodgers in a waiver deal for a player to be named later or cash considerations. Blanton has been with the Phils since August 2008 and was part of the World Series team that year.  I wish Blanton all the luck with the Dodgers and thanks for the memories.

Blanton's final 2012 pitching stats are an 8-9 record, a 4.59 ERA and 115 strikeouts in 133.1 innings pitched.
