National Fried Chicken Day

Hi everybody,

Just wanted to wish everyone a belated Happy National Fried Chicken Day!  I meant to post this yesterday but the Phils loss plus my daydreaming about fried chicken prevented me from doing so.  I thought I'd share some of my past fried chicken memories with you all.

My Trip to Roy Rogers

Hi everybody,

A couple of months ago my friends decided to take a trip to the Roy Rogers in Pine Beach, NJ.  I had never tried Roy Rogers before and I didn't even know there was one around here.  They even brought me back some food.  I couldn't wait to try it!

I loved it!  So naturally, when they decided to head back there a few weeks later...I was going.  So off to New Jersey I went to see this great place!

I got a roast beef sammich and fries there.  The fries come in a holster!  How cool is that?!

Of course I got some food to go.  Chicken and cinnamon rolls.

Yum!  Everything was so good.  Roy's is definitely one of my favorite fast-food joints now!

Weekend Update

Hi everybody,

 

Hope you all had a fun weekend.  I stayed in all weekend but was surprised by my friends who went to Roy Rogers in Pine Beach, NJ and brought me back some food!  I never had Roy Rogers before and I really enjoyed it.  The chicken and their roast beef sandwiches were delicious!!

 

My friends told me that there used to be lots of Roy Rogers around here when they were younger but they are now mostly in Maryland and Virginia.  I'm really glad that there is still one in New Jersey.  I hope to go there with my friends in a few weeks so I can eat more of that great food.
