The Phils finally stop the losing streak at six games with a 9-6 win over the Baltimore Orioles.  It is the first of nine Interleague games on the road so the Phils are using a DH (Designated Hitter) to hit instead of the pitcher. Jim Thome was used as the DH and he didn't dissapoint with three hits and an RBI.  Shane Victorino had three hits (one was his 8th Home Run of the season) and drove in five runs.  Mike Fontenot also hit his first Home Run of the year.  Joe Blanton pitched better than he has during his last four starts but still didn't look great.  The Phils play again this afternoon with Vance Worley on the mound.  Let's hope the offense continues to hit and score.  Go Phils!!!

Great win by the Phils!  It was a back and forth slug fest but they managed to beat the Cardinals 10-9.  Freddy Galvis continues to hit and field well.  Shane Victorino also is hitting better lately as he drove in three RBIs.  The Phils are once again at .500 and will have Cliff lee on the mound tonight.  It's time for Lee to get his 1st win of the season.  Go Phils!!!

The Phils end their four game winning streak with an impressive win by Cole Hamels.  Hamels is now 7-1 and really needs to be re-signed for several more years.  As bad as the Phils have been playing, they are still only 4.5 games out of first.  Let's hope they can continue winning in St. Louis tomorrow night.  Go Phils!!!
