Chase Utley Photo of the Week (10-25-17)

Hi everybody,

This week's photo of Chase is from the 2008 World Series where the Phils became the (as Harry Kalas said after the final out in Game 5) "2008 World Champions of Baseball" by beating the Tampa Bay Rays.  Chase looks to be in the middle of performing a double play.  I can't believe that it has been nine years since the Phils won the World Series.

Chris Wheeler Announces Retirement From Phillies After 47 Years

Hi everybody,

I just wanted to mention that former Phils broadcaster and goodwill ambassador Chris Wheeler has announced his retirement from the Phillies organization after 47 years of employment.  Wheeler (better known as Wheels) did broadcasting for the Phillies from 1977 to 2013 before becoming a goodwill ambassador for his final three years with the team.  Before his broadcasting career, Wheeler worked in the Phils public relations department.

I just wanted to share Wheeler's reaction to the winning call of the 2008 World Series by Harry Kalas...which was just as great as Harry's amazing call.

Chase Utley Gets His 1000th Career RBI

Hi everybody,

I just wanted to congratulate former Phillies 2nd baseman (and my hero) Chase Utley for knocking in his 1000th career RBI on Friday (July 7th) against the Kansas City Royals.  I wish Chase could have done this career milestone as a member of the Phils but I am still very happy for him.  Congrats again, Chase and as the great Harry Kalas once said....Chase Utley you are the man!
