Gettysburg Photo of the Month (February 2017)

Hi everybody,

This month's photo is of the monument to the New York Regiments of the Irish Brigade.  The Irish Brigade was made up of the 63rd, 69th and 88th New York Infantry Regiments, the 14th New York Independent Battery, the 28th Massachusetts Infantry Regiment and the 116th Pennsylvania Infantry Regiment.

The Irish Brigade was one of the hardest fighting units in the Union Army of the Potomac and their monument is located in Rose Woods near The Wheatfield
