Phillies Acquire Justin Bour From the Marlins

The Phillies acquired Justin Bour from the Miami Marlins in a trade on Friday (August 10th) for minor league pitcher McKenzie Mills.  Bour is a power hitter and is expected to play some first base but will primarily be used as a bench bat.  Welcome to Philly, Mr. Bour!

Howie Kendrick Traded to the Washington Nationals

Hi everybody,

The Phillies traded infielder/outfielder Howie Kendrick and cash considerations to the Washington Nationals last Friday night (July 28th) for Minor League prospect McKenzie Mills (left-handed pitcher).  The Phils also received international amateur signing bonus pool space as part of the trade.  Good luck in Washington, Howie!
