Juan Nicasio Placed on the DL

Hi everybody,

Phillies relief pitcher Juan Nicasio was placed on the 10-day DL (Disabled List) on August 24th with right rotator cuff tendinitis.  In an additional move, Nick Pivetta was also sent down to Triple A.  Nicasio and Nivetta have been replaced on the 25 man roster by Triple A pitchers Edgar Garcia and Austin Davis.

Phillies Acquire Free Agent Relief Pitcher Blake Parker

The Phillies signed free agent right-handed relief pitcher Blake Parker on Tuesday (July 30th). Parker will be replacing Edgar Garcia (sent to Triple A) in the bullpen. Welcome to Philly, Blake Parker!

Jerad Eickhoff Placed on the DL

Hi everybody,

Phillies starting pitcher Jerad Eickhoff was placed on the 10-day DL (Disabled List) on Monday (June 17th) with right bicep tendinitis.  It is not known at this time who will replace Eickhoff in the starting rotation.  Triple A relief pitcher Edgar Garcia has been brought up to take Eickhoff's place on the 25 man roster.

Pat Neshek Returns from the DL

Hi everybody,

Phillies relief pitcher Pat Neshek was reactivated from the DL (Disabled List) before Sunday's (June 16th) game against the Atlanta Braves.  Neshek has been on the DL since May 24th with a right shoulder strain.  The Phils sent relief pitchers Ranger Suarez and Edgar Garcia to Triple A to make room for Neshek and pitcher Cole Irvin on the 25 man roster.
