Hi everybody,The Phillies traded right-handed relief pitcher Pat Neshek and cash to the Colorado Rockies for Minor League prospects Jose Gomez (shortstop), Alejandro Requena (right-handed pitcher) and J.D. Hammer (right-handed pitcher). All three of the new Phillies prospects were named All-Stars of the South Atlantic League this season.
Neshek (who was the sole Phillies All-Star) goes to a Rockies team that is in Wild Card contention. Neshek spoke fondly of his brief time in Philly and stated he would be open to resign with the Phils after this season. Good luck in Colorado, Pat Neshek!
