Chase Utley Placed on the DL

Hi everybody,

The injury bug continues to plague the Phils as 2nd Baseman (and my hero) Chase Utley was placed on the 15-day DL (Disabled List) with a Grade 1 strained oblique.  According to the Phillies, the strain is very mild and there is no intercostal or injury to Chase's rib-cage.  The general recovery time for this type of injury is 2-4 weeks but it is hoped that Chase will be able to return to action when his DL stint ends on June 6th.

Michael Martinez has been brought up from the Triple-A Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs to replace Chase on the roster.  It is expected that Freddy Galvis will get the majority of starts at 2nd Base.

Hope that Chase gets well quick and is able to return to the lineup as soon as possible.
