Hi everybody,Relief pitcher Chad Durbin was released by the Phils earlier today. Joe Savery was brought up from the Triple-A Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs to replace him on the roster.
Durbin had not pitched well this season with an ERA (Earned Run Average) at 9.00. He had appeared in 16 games. In his previous stint with the Phillies in 2008-2010, Durbin helped the team win a World Championship (2008), two National League Championships (2008-2009) and three National League East Titles (2008-2010). That is how I will remember him. Good luck with the rest of your career and thanks for all that you did for the Phillies.
