Hi everybody,Phillies closer Jonathan Papelbon was traded to the Washington Nationals last night for Double A right-handed pitcher Nick Pivetta. The Phils also agreed to pay the remainder of Papelbon's 2015 salary of around $4.5 million.
Papelbon ends his Phillies career as the All-Time Saves Leader with 123 saves. He also had a 14-11 win-loss record with a 2.31 ERA in 234 appearances. Paps also made the National League All-Star team in 2012 and 2015.
