With the World Series starting tonight, it got me thinking about when the Phillies were in it in 2008.  That was a great time and I'm keeping the faith that they can do it next year!

More Charleston

Hi everybody,

I wanted to share some more of my Charleston trip and pictures.

We took the ferry to Fort Sumter one day.  You can see it in the picture as we're approaching.  It is a really neat place and was definitely worth the boat ride.

When we got back we went to the aquarium since it's right next to where the ferry departs.  I'm pretending to be a shark in this picture!

They had an albino alligator there!  She was very cool, but my favorite was this big sea turtle. They said she weighs over 200 pounds!!

It's great just to walk around Charleston and look at all the old buildings.  This place is called Rainbow Row for obvious reasons.

Then there's the fountain at the waterfront.  It's a pineapple so I guess it's called the Pineapple Fountain.

I'm pretty sure this is St. Michael's Church.  There are a lot of churches in Charleston and I'll have more pictures of them to share in the future.

This week I'm away on vacation in Charleston, SC!  Since I'm having fun on vacation, I thought I'd use this picture of Chase having fun somewhere.  I really wish I knew where this was taken and why he's riding a carousel but I guess I'll never know.

Having a great time in Charleston. Wish you were here.

Hi everybody,

I'm in Charleston, SC.  It's beautiful here!  On the ride through North Carolina, there were these crazy signs for some place called South of the Border.

It looks wacky!!  We really wanted to get to Charleston so we think we might stop there on the way home and check it out.

This is the garden and pool area where we're staying.  It's so nice!

Last night we walked around an old cemetery...very creepy!

Weekend Update

Hi everybody,

Sorry about the lack of posts the last few days.  I've been a bit bummed out about the end of the Phils season and have not been in the mood to write.  I still plan to reflect over the coming days but I will try to post more.  It has been strange not seeing the Phils in the playoffs.  Hope you all had a fun weekend and I will post again in the coming days.
