Jonathan Papelbon Suspended For Seven Games

Hi everybody,

Phillies closer Jonathan Papelbon was suspended by Major League Baseball for seven games for making an obscene gesture to the crowd and making contact with umpire Joe West.  The incident happened in the top of the ninth inning of Sunday's (Sept. 14th) game against the Miami Marlins.  Papelbon (who was also fined an undisclosed amount of money for the incident) will not appeal the suspension and will be eligible to return to the team next Tuesday.  Ken Giles is expected to close while Papelbon serves his suspension.

Talk to you soon,
Little Chase
